Fireplace
The fireplace was designed in collaboration with the customer. The aim was to integrate the existing cast iron fireplace and the brass trimmings.
The fireplace and the extension of the mantlepiece along the wall were constructed from wood and MDF. They were then marbled and protected with layers of varnish.

Thorn mirror & Halo mirror
The „His & Hers“ mirrors were inspired by a trip to Assisi. I saw scorpions and spiders there as well – although they weren't gilded.
The mirrors are made from wood and wire – the animals from wire, modelling clay, and thread.
Column
The large room in a modernized industrial loft is used for living and sleeping. The column and cross-beams define a sleeping area, at the same time keeping the feeling of space.
The column and beams are made of wood and were given a few coats of grey paint, to give the impression of cast iron.

Rhinoceros
The rhinoceros is a three dimensional interpretation of the well-known engraving by Albrecht Dürer. He made the engraving based on a description and sketch of a rhinoceros, without actually seeing one himself. For this reason it is not anatomically correct.
